The Monday 10/26 Madden showdown on DraftKings is a single-game slate, MIN @ ATL. It uses the captain format, where the captain slot scores 1.5x points at 1.5x salary, and the cap is $50,000. Lineups lock at 12:00 p.m. ET (9:00 a.m. PT).
Our model's top projected play is Bijan Robinson (ATL) at $10,800, with a ceiling of 41.7 against a DraftKings average of 22.0. That is the highest ceiling on the board by a wide margin, and it makes him the natural captain candidate. Kyler Murray (MIN) at $10,200 carries a 33.2 ceiling, and Tua Tagovailoa (ATL) at $9,200 sits at 31.7. Justin Jefferson (MIN) costs $9,800 but tops out at 20.2 in our model, a modest return for the price.
The value plays are where this slate gets interesting. Jauan Jennings (MIN) is just $4,800 with a 31.5 ceiling, well above his 6.7 DraftKings average. T.J. Hockenson (MIN) at $6,800 has a 26.3 ceiling, and Jahan Dotson (ATL) at $6,200 reaches 19.7. Kyle Pitts Sr. (ATL) at $7,200 offers a 22.1 ceiling for those who want another mid-priced option.
The crowd will gather around the quarterbacks. Murray is projected at 68% ownership, Tagovailoa at 54% and Jefferson at 48%. Robinson is also popular at 47%. Fading the chalk is easiest at the lower salaries, where Jennings is projected at only 18% and Hockenson at 20%. Both offer ceilings that rival the more expensive names at a much smaller ownership share.
Our model's top lineup uses $49,800 of the $50,000 cap. It puts Bijan Robinson at captain for $16,200, then adds Kyler Murray at $10,200, Tua Tagovailoa at $9,200, Jahan Dotson at $6,200, Will Reichard at $4,400 and the Falcons at $3,600 in the flex spots.
Lock arrives at 12:00 p.m. ET, so finalize your lineups before then.
