Tuesday's MLB showdown on DraftKings is a single game, MIL @ TB, with a $50,000 cap and a captain slot that scores 1.5x points at 1.5x salary. The slate locks at 8:00 p.m. ET (5:00 p.m. PT).
Our model's top plays lean heavily toward the MIL side. Jackson Chourio ($9,600) carries the highest ceiling at 30.1 and a DraftKings average of 9.8. Brice Turang ($9,000) follows with a 28.1 ceiling and a 9.1 average. On the TB side, Junior Caminero ($9,800) sits at a 26.1 ceiling and an 8.7 average, while Yandy Diaz ($9,400) shows a 23.4 ceiling. William Contreras ($8,600) matches Caminero's range with a 26.2 ceiling.
The value plays are where our model finds its edge. Jake Bauers ($8,200) offers a 24.6 ceiling and an 8.4 DraftKings average, which is a strong return at that price. Christian Yelich ($7,800) projects with a 22.8 ceiling, and Garrett Mitchell ($7,400) has a 21.8 ceiling at the lowest salary among the top-ranked group. Showdown formats reward fitting in one expensive piece, and these three let a lineup do that.
The fact sheet does not include ownership figures for this slate, so we will not guess where the crowd lands. Note that several pitchers carry DraftKings status tags: Shane McClanahan (TB) is listed OUT, while Quinn Priester, Brian Fitzpatrick and Angel Zerpa (MIL) are tagged IL, as are Ryan Pepiot, Jon Heasley, Edwin Uceta and Gavin Lux (TB).
Our model's top lineup totals $49,500 of the $50,000 cap. It puts Christian Yelich at captain for $11,700, then fills the UTIL spots with Jackson Chourio ($9,600), Garrett Mitchell ($7,400), Jake Bauers ($8,200), Richie Palacios ($5,000) and Chandler Simpson ($7,600). It is a MIL-heavy build that leans on the team's top-ranked bats.
