Monday's two-game NBA turbo slate on DraftKings Classic pairs IND @ MIL with PHX @ OKC, and it locks at 8:00 p.m. ET (5:00 p.m. PT). The salary cap is $50,000, and with only four teams in play, a handful of names carry most of the weight.
Devin Booker of PHX leads our model's board at $8,600. He has a ceiling of 80.6, the highest on the slate, and a DraftKings average of 48.6. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of OKC is the priciest play at $9,800, with a ceiling of 68.1 and a 46.7 average. Tyrese Haliburton of IND is $8,300, with a ceiling of 62.8 and a 45.8 average.
The value plays are where our model finds its edge. Jaime Jaquez Jr. of MIL costs $5,900 and carries a ceiling of 61.0, which is higher than Haliburton's despite a much lower salary. Tyler Herro of MIL at $6,900 has a ceiling of 56.5, and Chet Holmgren of OKC at $6,300 has a ceiling of 51.5. Andrew Nembhard of IND is also $5,900, though his 39.0 ceiling makes him a more modest option.
Injury tags matter on a slate this small. Jalen Williams, Cason Wallace and Jaylin Williams of OKC carry Q tags, as do Ivica Zubac of IND and Oso Ighodaro of PHX. Mark Williams of PHX, T.J. McConnell of IND and Nikola Topic of OKC are tagged OUT.
Our model's top lineup uses $49,800 of the $50,000 cap. It runs Booker at PG, Herro at SG, Jaquez at SF, Holmgren at PF, Isaiah Hartenstein at C, Haliburton at G, Alex Caruso at F and Obi Toppin at UTIL. That build pairs two high-priced anchors in Booker and Haliburton with mid-priced MIL and OKC pieces and cheap fill at the bottom.
Lock is Monday at 8:00 p.m. ET, so finalize your lineups before then.
