Tuesday's DraftKings slate is a single-game NBA showdown, POR @ LAL, with a $50,000 salary cap and a captain slot that scores 1.5x points at 1.5x salary. Lock is Tue 10/27 at 11:00 p.m. ET (8:00 p.m. PT).
The top end belongs to Luka Doncic (LAL) at $13,200. Our model gives him a ceiling of 81.9 against a DraftKings average of 52.5, the biggest numbers on the board. Deni Avdija (POR) is next at $9,800 with a ceiling of 62.6 and a 39.5 average, and Ja Morant (POR) sits at $8,000 with a 53.8 ceiling and a 35.3 average. Jrue Holiday (POR) is the cheaper star-level option at $6,000, with a 50.2 ceiling and a 20.6 average.
The value plays are all about the $1,000 tier. Micah Potter (POR) has a ceiling of 36.1 at $1,000, and Branden Carlson (POR) is at 33.7, though Carlson carries a Q tag from DraftKings. Jaden Hardy (LAL) has a 28.7 ceiling and Vit Krejci (POR) is at 22.1, both at the same price. Dollar for dollar, those ceilings are far above what the salaries suggest, and spending $1,000 leaves a lot of room for the big names.
Ownership figures aren't available for this slate, so we can't say where the crowd will land. Be aware of the status tags: Scoot Henderson (POR) is Q, while Adou Thiero (LAL), Chris Youngblood (POR) and Shaedon Sharpe (POR) are all OUT.
Our model's top lineup uses the full $50,000. It puts Doncic in the captain slot at $19,800, then adds Ziaire Williams at $4,000, Morant at $8,000, Holiday at $6,000, Jake LaRavia at $2,400 and Avdija at $9,800. The build leans on the three POR stars and pairs them with two mid-priced fillers.
