Brock Purdy is my captain at $15,000.
He's 45 of 56 for 492 yards and five touchdowns through two games, and he's run one in on top of it. His DraftKings average is 25.3, the best on this board. The 49ers are down to almost nobody at receiver. Demarcus Robinson is out with a high-ankle sprain, Pearsall, Stribling and Kirk are on IR, and Aiyuk isn't an option. That doesn't scare me off Purdy. It tells me where the ball goes: McCaffrey, Kittle, Deebo, and Evans if he plays.
McCaffrey is in the flex at $12,400. Two rushing scores, nine catches on twelve targets. I'm not captaining an 18-point running back at $18,600 when the quarterback costs less and scores more.
Mike Evans is the call you make at 2:35. He's questionable with a hip. Matt Maiocco had him not practicing on Wednesday ([Sept. 24](https://x.com/MaioccoNBCS/status/2103256862871441683)), and ESPN has him back in drills Friday. He has 103 yards and a touchdown on nine catches. If he's active, $9,400 is fine. If he's out, Kittle ($7,400, 92 yards and a score) and Deebo ($8,400, nine catches on eleven targets) are the ones who eat.
Trey McBride is the only Cardinal I'm sure about. 17 catches on 23 targets, two touchdowns, $9,600. If you want a second captain, it's him at $14,400, not anyone else in red.
Purdy, McCaffrey and McBride leave $13,000 for three spots. Kittle, Kendrick Bourne and KhaDarel Hodge spend it exactly. Bourne has caught ten of eleven targets, so he isn't a real punt.
Jeremiyah Love is where I'd take a flyer, not a stand. He has 70 yards on 20 carries and a DraftKings average of 10.3. He told Cards Chatter on [Sept. 25](https://x.com/Cardschatter/status/2103592794879373372), "I want to go crazy every single game. Last week I didn't." I believe he wants to. $8,000 is a lot to pay for wanting to.
I'm leaving Marvin Harrison Jr. at $5,600. He has one catch on four targets. Jacoby Brissett at $8,800 has 372 yards in two games, 120 fewer than Purdy on nine more attempts. Tyler Allgeier splits too much to matter at $4,000.
I'd rather have Chad Ryland at $4,600 than the 49ers defense at $5,200. Nick Bosa, Romello Height and James Thompson Jr. are all out, and that's a lot of the pass rush to take out of a defense you'd be paying up for.
Purdy first. Everything else fits around him.
