I'm captaining Patrick Mahomes and putting Kenneth Walker III in the flex. That's $27,300 on two Chiefs, and I'm fine with it.
Walker has been the best player on this board. 47 carries, 290 yards, nine catches for 79 more, a touchdown each way, and a 32-point average. He's $11,400 in the flex and $17,100 at captain. Mahomes is $10,600 and $15,900 at captain. He has 566 yards and five touchdowns with one pick, plus a rushing score. When you're choosing between them, the $1,200 decides it. Captain Mahomes, flex Walker, and there's still $22,700 for the last four spots.
Walker at captain is the other build. It's a fine build. It just costs more.
Travis Kelce is the third Chief I want. Twelve catches, 172 yards, a score, a 59-yarder, and a 19.1-point average at $7,400. Rashee Rice is $9,400 for six catches and 102 yards. I'd rather have Kelce. Xavier Worthy has eight catches for 43 yards at $6,400. Pass. Tyquan Thornton at $3,800 has four catches for 86 yards and is the cheap Chief I'd use.
One thing to watch up front: Kansas City's left tackle Josh Simmons wasn't seen at Thursday's practice ([Matt Derrick, Sept. 24](https://x.com/mattderrick/status/2103192536227385493)), and he was on Adam Schefter's list of players ruled out for Sunday ([Adam Schefter, Sept. 25](https://x.com/AdamSchefter/status/2103655605479129489)). It doesn't change my captain. It does make me less excited about the Chiefs defense at $5,600 than about the Chiefs offense.
Miami is thin. Caleb Douglas is out with the ankle, and he had been their leading receiver, seven catches for 113 yards. Jaylen Wright is doubtful. Ryan Miller is questionable with the hip, and his one catch was a 77-yard touchdown. That was one play, and I'm not building around it. Malik Washington gets the extra looks. He's got seven catches for 96 yards and he's $6,200. That's my Miami bring-back.
De'Von Achane is $10,000 for 110 yards on 31 carries and an 11.5-point average. Too much money. Malik Willis is $9,000. He's thrown for 417 yards and one score, run for one more, and averages 15.1. He's the Dolphin I'd captain if I were fading Kansas City. I'm not.
Harrison Butker is the kicker at $5,000. Zane Gonzalez carries a Q on the DraftKings file. Riley Patterson is $4,800 if you want the Miami kicker.
