Josh Allen at captain. $18,000. I'm not getting cute.
He's thrown for 582 yards and five touchdowns with no picks, and he's run for 92 yards and four more touchdowns. That's 39.7 DraftKings points a game. Nobody else on this board is within 15 points of that. He's $12,000 in the flex. Captaining anybody else means betting Allen has an off day, and I'm not making that bet.
Dalton Kincaid is my first flex. Twelve catches, 225 yards, a touchdown, and a 21.8-point average for $8,000. He's been Allen's main target, and he's healthy.
The Buffalo receivers are where it gets messy. DJ Moore is questionable with the shoulder, and Joe Brady said he'll give Moore and Keon Coleman until game time ([Mike Garafolo, Sept. 25](https://x.com/MikeGarafolo/status/2103546867984298431)). Moore practiced Friday and said "all signs were good signs," but he still had "a few more boxes" to check ([Joe Buscaglia, Sept. 25](https://x.com/JoeBuscaglia/status/2103549603031175514)). He's got five catches for 100 yards and a score at $8,800. If he's active, he's a fine piece. If he's out, Joshua Palmer at $4,000 gets more work. Palmer has two catches, both for touchdowns, 77 yards total. Khalil Shakir at $6,800 with seven catches for 88 yards is the steady one either way.
James Cook III is $10,400 for 192 rushing yards on 34 carries and one touchdown. Allen keeps getting the goal-line work, four rushing scores to Cook's one. I'm not paying $10,400 for that.
For the Chargers, Justin Herbert is $10,000 with 401 yards, two touchdowns and three picks. Their offensive line is also without Trey Pipkins and Kayode Awosika, both out. I don't want Herbert. If I bring back a Charger, it's Ladd McConkey at $8,400 with eight catches, 117 yards and a score. Or Omarion Hampton at $9,800, who has 137 yards and two touchdowns on 35 carries. Oronde Gadsden II at $4,400 is the cheap one, and he has a touchdown already. David Njoku is on IR and Charlie Kolar is out.
Quentin Johnston has three catches for 24 yards at $6,400. Pass. Brenen Thompson is out.
Tyler Bass at $4,800 is my kicker over Cameron Dicker at $5,000. The Bills defense at $3,600 fits under Allen at captain.
If DJ Moore sits, play Palmer. Either way, Allen is the captain. @numeric_dfs
