Saturday's late NHL slate is a two-game card: DET @ CGY and MIN @ SEA. It runs on the $50,000 DraftKings classic cap and locks at 10:00 p.m. ET (7:00 p.m. PT).
Our model puts the most weight on the Minnesota side. Jesper Wallstedt is priced at $8,200 and carries a ceiling of 24.2 against a DraftKings average of 12.8, so the model sees plenty of room above his typical output. Kirill Kaprizov ($8,700) has the highest ceiling among the top plays at 28.4, well above his 18.2 average. Alex DeBrincat of DET ($7,900) sits close behind at 27.1, with a 16.2 average. Matt Boldy ($8,400, ceiling 24.9) rounds out the MIN group near the top of the rankings.
The value plays are where this slate can be built efficiently. Jordan Eberle of SEA costs only $4,000 and still shows a ceiling of 21.6, nearly double his 11.3 average. Emmitt Finnie of DET is even cheaper at $3,200, with an 18.9 ceiling. Lucas Raymond of DET at $6,000 has a 23.2 ceiling and fits as a mid-priced option. In goal, Devin Cooley of CGY ($7,500, ceiling 21.2) is an alternative to Wallstedt. Several names on the slate carry DraftKings status tags, including Daniil Tarasov (DET) as DTD and Mikael Backlund (CGY) as OUT, so check the tags before lock.
The sheet provides no ownership figures for this slate, so we can't say where the crowd will land.
Our model's top lineup uses $47,600 of the $50,000 cap. It starts with Morgan Frost ($3,800) and Emmitt Finnie ($3,200) at center, then Kirill Kaprizov ($8,700), Alex DeBrincat ($7,900) and Matt Coronato ($4,400) on the wings. Vince Dunn ($4,800) and Jake Middleton ($2,600) fill the defense spots, Jesper Wallstedt ($8,200) is in goal, and Jordan Eberle ($4,000) takes the UTIL slot.
Lineups lock Saturday at 10:00 p.m. ET.
