Sunday's main NHL slate on DraftKings has four games: NYI @ DAL, MTL @ WPG, COL @ NSH and MIN @ VAN. The salary cap is $50,000, and the slate locks at 6:00 p.m. ET (3:00 p.m. PT).
Nathan MacKinnon (COL) tops our model's ranking at $9,300. His ceiling of 33.2 is the highest on the list, against a DraftKings average of 20.5. Kirill Kaprizov (MIN) is $8,600 with a 28.9 ceiling, and Kyle Connor (WPG) is $7,800 with a 28.8 ceiling.
Goalies fill much of the top plays. Ilya Sorokin (NYI) at $7,100 has a 26.8 ceiling and a 16.4 average, the best average among them. Jake Oettinger (DAL) is $8,300 with a 26.0 ceiling, and Stuart Skinner (WPG) is $7,600 with a 24.3 ceiling.
The value in our model's build sits at the bottom of the salary scale. Phillip Danault at $2,700 and Jonathan Lekkerimaki at $2,600 free up cap space for the stars. Jared Spurgeon at $3,800 and Gabriel Landeskog at $4,300 do the same.
The fact sheet gives no ownership figures, so we can't say where the crowd will land. Check the status tags before locking anyone in: Nick Suzuki (MTL) is tagged OUT, and Filip Gustavsson (MIN), Sam Montembeault (MTL), Thatcher Demko (VAN), Josh Morrissey (WPG), Mathew Barzal (NYI), Matt Duchene (DAL) and Ivan Demidov (MTL) carry IR tags.
Our model's top lineup uses $49,000 of the $50,000 cap: MacKinnon and Danault at C, Connor, Artturi Lehkonen ($5,100) and Landeskog at W, Roman Josi ($6,300) and Spurgeon at D, Sorokin in goal and Lekkerimaki at UTIL. Rosters lock at 6:00 p.m. ET.
