Sunday's NHL showdown is a single game, FLA @ CHI, with a $50,000 cap and a captain slot that scores 1.5x points at 1.5x salary. The slate locks Sun 10/25 at 3:00 p.m. ET (12:00 p.m. PT).
Brady Tkachuk sits atop our model's ranking at $10,400 with a ceiling of 24.8, the highest on the board, against a DraftKings average of 14.2. Matthew Tkachuk follows at $10,200 with a ceiling of 20.0 and an average of 11.6. Connor Bedard is the top CHI forward at $9,600, with a ceiling of 19.4 and an average of 10.8. Sam Reinhart at $9,000 carries a ceiling of 18.2, and Seth Jones at $8,000 has a ceiling of 17.4 with an average of 11.2.
Between the pipes, Spencer Knight of CHI costs $9,400 with a ceiling of 16.1, while Akira Schmid of FLA runs $10,000 with a ceiling of just 10.5 and an average of 6.4. That price for that ceiling is hard to justify.
The best value play is Artyom Levshunov of CHI. At $4,400, he shows a ceiling of 19.2, close to Bedard's at less than half the salary, though his DraftKings average is only 5.3. Note the status tags too: Bowen Byram of CHI is listed OUT, Gustav Forsling of FLA is DTD, and Jacob Markstrom, Aleksander Barkov, Brad Marchand and Jonah Gadjovich of FLA all carry IR.
Our fact sheet has no ownership figures for this slate, so we can't say where the crowd is headed.
Our model's top lineup uses $48,800 of the $50,000 cap. Brady Tkachuk goes in the captain slot at $15,600, with Matthew Tkachuk ($10,200), Uvis Balinskis ($2,000), Sam Bennett ($8,200), Ian Cole ($4,800) and Seth Jones ($8,000) in the FLEX spots. Stacking the Tkachuks while Balinskis at $2,000 frees up the salary needed to fit it all.
