Tuesday's late NHL slate on DraftKings has four games: MIN @ UTA, VAN @ ANA, OTT @ VGK and BUF @ SJS. The classic salary cap is $50,000, and the slate locks at 9:00 p.m. ET (6:00 p.m. PT).
Our model's top projected plays start with Macklin Celebrini of SJS, a $8,800 center with a ceiling of 33.2 and a DraftKings average of 19.6. Kirill Kaprizov of MIN follows at $8,700, with a 30.9 ceiling and an 18.2 average. Matt Boldy of MIN ($8,400, ceiling 26.3, average 15.7) and Jack Eichel of VGK ($7,800, ceiling 24.9, average 15.5) round out the top-priced skaters. In goal, Jesper Wallstedt of MIN costs $7,800 and carries a 22.9 ceiling against a 13.3 average.
The value plays sit lower on the salary scale. Kailer Yamamoto of UTA is the standout at $3,300, with an 18.8 ceiling and an 11.7 average, a gap between price and output that few players on this slate match. Mikhail Sergachev of UTA offers defense at $6,000 with a 26.2 ceiling and a 12.9 average. Quinn Hughes of MIN, at $6,700, has a 24.4 ceiling and a 12.4 average.
The fact sheet gives no ownership figures, so we can't say where the crowd will land. Several goaltending situations carry DraftKings status tags: Kyle Keyser (SJS), Filip Gustavsson (MIN), Linus Ullmark (OTT), Alex Lyon (BUF) and Thatcher Demko (VAN) are all tagged IR. Thomas Chabot (OTT) is tagged OUT, while Troy Terry (ANA) and William Eklund (OTT) carry IR tags.
Our model's top lineup spends $49,300 of the $50,000 cap. It pairs Celebrini ($8,800) with Mikael Granlund ($5,000) at center, and uses Kaprizov ($8,700), Yamamoto ($3,300) and Jonathan Lekkerimaki ($2,700) on the wing. Owen Power ($4,900) and Rasmus Andersson ($3,500) handle defense, Wallstedt ($7,800) starts in goal, and Elias Pettersson ($4,600) fills the UTIL spot.
Lineups lock at 9:00 p.m. ET.
