Fermi — the slate as a point cloud

x = projected ownership · y = actual DK points (height) · z = projection (DK average). Each ball is a player wearing his DraftKings headshot; size = salary. Electrons are his spin: the ring leans up for a favourite and down for an underdog (flat = no odds), they orbit faster the higher his team's implied total, wear his team colour, and there are 1 / 2 / 3 of them for a low / mid / high projected-ownership tercile. The halo colour low → high follows the chosen colour mode. Ringed in the accent colour and joined in salary order: the real winning lineup. Drag to turn, scroll or pinch to zoom, hover or tap a ball for its numbers.

Where the winner's points sit (ownership × salary terciles)

Share of the winning lineup's 8 slots in each cell, this slate / all slates. Uniform would be 11.1% per cell.

Residual field: (actual − projection) / sd(projection)

Mean per cell, this slate / all slates. The bright cell (high own, high salary) under-delivers on average; winners are its upper tail, not its mean.
